Whether you are looking for the experience of fishing on some of the most spectacular lakes in the world, angling for that largemouth bass, or you are looking for the thrill of casting your line into the Amazon River, the second longest river in the world, Mexico Bass Fishing is for you. Everyone says that the US can supply bass fishing of the highest order, but nothing can compare with taking one of the many Mexico Bass Fishing trips that are available these days.

There are two types of fishing that you can do in Mexico. The first type is on a Mexico Bass Fishing Lake. Many of these lakes, such as Comedero and El Salto offer spectacular scenery combined with big catches. Lake Comedero was formed when the dam across the Rio San Lorenzo had finished construction. As a new Mexican Lake, Comodero has vastly improved the agriculture in the surrounding areas. It also provides hydroelectric generating system which supplies the surrounding areas with much of its electricity. But the Bass Angling here is incredible. It was not unusual for catches of more than 100+. Unfortunately in the past this place has been all finished with numbers gradually dwindling. Eventually, it was restocked with Florida largemouth bass so that now the numbers have started to increase. Indeed, there are many trophy fish caught here which are well over ten pounds in weight.

Another one of the Mexico Bass Fishing lakes which offers fantastic value to the angler is the El Salto. This is a 23,000 acre impoundment, holding trophy bass that are world-class. 20 miles from the coast, this lake was formed when the dam was put across the Elota River in 1986. 550 feet above sea level, El Salto has a maximum depth of approximately 42 meters. The lake record, for a bass caught in 2002, is 18 pounds, with fish to 16 pounds being a common occurrence.

For many people, the ultimate prize for Mexico Bass Fishing has got to be the peacock bass. These fish are commonly known as one of the most ferocious fighters in the freshwater world. Mostly, these fish are caught on the Amazon basin and trips to this part of the world by avid anglers who want to experience the thrill of netting one of these monsters, is on the increase year after year. Ultimately, the choice is yours, regardless of whichever form of bass fish and you choose, Mexico and Mexican bass will stay in your heart forever.

It is a mild climate and thick vegetation that provides the perfect habitat for those huge Bass. Mexico Bass fishing will give the modern-day angler the experience of a lifetime when it comes to fishing, especially for the peacock bass. Mexico Bass can grow very strong and extremely big, you can expect to catch ten pounders or more on some of the lakes. Or, if you want to travel along the Amazon River and catch those huge Trophy peacock bass, there are plenty of fishing lodges and other land-based accommodation for you to choose from. Bass fishing in Mexico offers the angler the trip of a lifetime and the catch of a lifetime in the same package.

We’ll start off by looking at some Mexico Bass Fishing lakes. Most of the Bass fishing in Mexico is done on the lakes, and Mexico’s lakes offer some of the best bass fish in the world. A sample of Mexican bass lakes include Guerrero, Comedero, El Salto, and Huites, and the fish that you can pull out of a Mexico Bass fishing lake can be up to Trophy standard, well over 10 pounds in weight.

Huites Lake offers absolutely spectacular scenery. The Mexican government impounded the lake in 1993 and pure strains of Florida largemouth bass have been consistently stocked to make this fishing lake really fantastic. Each boat here can realistically expect to catch about 100 fish per day with the average size of the Bass running at less than six pounds; the occasional fish over that weight can be caught.

Of course, Mexico Bass Fishing trips can also take the angler deep into the Amazon jungle. Here is where you will find the peacock bass, also known as “the freshwater bully”. This fish is pound for pound one of the most ferocious fighters that has ever attached itself to the end of a line. They are well known to destroy tackle and give the angler a fight from the time of bite all the way until the angler manages to persuade the fish into his net. You must ensure that you bring the correct tackle with you. Taking flimsy equipment and paltry lures when you are trying to catch these great fish is like taking a water pistol to a gunfight. You need the toughest lures possible and remember to bring a spare fishing rod or two because there is the possibility that the peacock bass will do more than just bend a couple of spinners.

Bass fishing trips offer you the opportunity of catching those monster bass that every angler dreams of. Whether you are a novice angler or a more experienced angler, diversifying the places where you fish for Bass will increase your chances dramatically of catching those trophy fish. So, where do you start? The first place to start is by choosing a location. You want to fish in a place where you are guaranteed to catch some bass. In the US, the West Coast is by far the best place to fish the bass. Alabama, is one of the best areas in the nation, here you will find species such as the smallmouth, the largemouth, the spotted bass, and the redeye bass. Some of the lakes in Alabama, such as Mountain view Lake, have in the past provided record-breaking catches.

For a really good Bass the experience you should try and head down to Mexico and fish for the Peacock Bass. The peacock bass provides some of the most to ferocious fishing that you can get. Peacock Bass Fishing trips are organised throughout the US. Indeed, there are associations that you can join whose aim is to specifically promote the fishing of Peacock Bass. Much of the time, as will see later, Peacock Bass anglers head down to Mexico in order to find the really big fish. But there are plenty of areas in the US where you can fish for this tough freshwater species. One of those areas is Florida.

Mexico bass fishing trips are a great way for the modern-day anglers to almost guarantee huge quantities of fish are to be caught every day. The Amazon River, flowing through Mexico, offers some of the best angling for this “freshwater bully”. If you are heading down south, there are certain items that you should take. A good supply of tropical clothing because the weather down there can become extremely humid. Your tackle bag should reflect the fish that you are going for. The Peacock Bass is renowned for its ability to damage or destroy fishing tackle, so be prepared to take with you the correct type of laws, the correct type of line, and most importantly two or three strong Fishing rods. You should also consider guided Bass Fishing trips whilst in Mexico, not only will this save you from fishing in unproductive areas, the gates can also arrange or at least help you to arrange decent accommodation and car rental.

As a recreational sport, fishing offers excitement and fun, and there is no doubt that bass fishing offers the most fun and excitement. By taking the odd bass fishing trip, you are not only going to increase your skill and perfect your techniques, you will be embarking on some of the most exciting times of your life. The feeling of hunting along the riverbank for the perfect spot, of trying to keep this quiet as possible whilst casting skillfully for the best placement, and then finally reeling in that 15 pound monster, will stay with you for the rest of your days.

One of the best fishing trips and you can go on are peacock bass fishing trips. The peacock bass, which is the common name for a fish in the category of Cichla, is indigenous to the Amazon River of South America. It is one of the most ferocious fighters that you will ever come across. They have been called “fresh water bullies” because of their aggressive hunting nature. You must be very careful when you are fishing for these peacock bass because they can damage or destroy your gear when they strike. Some of the best techniques for getting them are much the same as those for the largemouth bass excepting that the peacock bass will not go for the usual artificial worms.

One of the best places to catch your peacock bass, and many other fabulous fish, is in Mexico. Not only can you fish in the Amazon River, when you go on Mexico Bass fish and trips you can also fish on the many lakes that are available throughout the country. Some of these lakes are stocked with some huge fish, indeed you can catch trophy fish that are well over 10 pounds in weight.

Mexico is a foreign country, and is always wise when you are fishing in a foreign country to have some local expertise. Not only would this enable you to find the best fishing spots, it will also enable you to find the best hotels, car hire, local attractions, etc. Mainly though, you are going to be after the fish. You will find many guided bass fishing trips by searching thoroughly on the Internet. Make sure that when you are making the decision about which offer to take up, that’s you have researched the company involved and made your decision based on as many reviews as possible, word-of-mouth reviews by anglers that have already been there are the best reviews of all.
