Bass fishing is a wonderful hobby, and even sport, mainly because of the feisty attitude that these fish display. Whether largemouth, smallmouth, white bass, striped bass, rock bass, you name it, these are a fun fish to catch. There’s no question why so many anglers are wanting to experience bass fishing trips, and there are a few key destinations that you are going to want to enjoy if you think that this may be you. Taking one of these fishing trips doesn’t have to break the bank either. You’ll experience some of the best fishing of your life, and that fishing is usually right outside of your door, with someone waiting to teach you how to catch them. Doesn’t get much better, does it?

Before you start making plans for your bass fishing trip, you are going to want to spend a little time figuring out exactly what type of bass fishing it is that you want to do, as well as your budget that you have to work with. Maintaining a budget is key to enjoying your guided bass fishing trips, regardless which species you target. Some of your best smallmouth fishing is going to be in the north, whereas the best largemouth fishing is in the southern United States. For the best peacock bass fishing trips, you are going to have to venture as far south as the Amazon and Venezuela.

photo credit: Kissimmee – The Heart of Florida

As stated, the best smallmouth bass fishing trips are going to take you to the Great Lakes, around Michigan, and south of Canada. Some of the best smallmouth bass fishing is found on Lake Erie, with plenty of guides and resorts able to cater to the type of fishing that you are looking for. However, for largemouth bass, you are going to have to take your family or angling partners down to Florida, Texas, or Mexico for some of the best largemouth fishing the world has to offer. The climates are perfect for these fish, with some of the monsters being caught in the 18lb to 20lb range.

For even better fishing action, you might want to consider leaving the country, and taking a trip down to the Amazon, or even just down into Mexico. You can find some excellent largemouth bass fishing in Mexico, but the peacock bass fishing trips that are going to leave you speechless are found in South America, in the Amazon, Venezuela, and surrounding countries. These bass fishing trips aren’t near as expensive as most people make them out to be, so it is definitely worth a shot to figure out if they are within your budget or not. You aren’t going to forget this vacation anytime soon.

When you think of Mexico for most it dreams up visions of Cancun, beaches, lots of fruity flavored rum drinks and the like. Mexico bass fishing is not in the main stream of topical conversation for most, but for the experienced large mouth bass fisherman, the stories of catching a 15 pound fish will get their blood pumping and ready to go bass fishing in Mexico.

Where do you go to catch the aforementioned bass monsters? There are three Mexico bass fishing lakes that specialize and cater to the bass fisherman. They are Lake El Salto, Lake Huites, and Lake Baccarac. All three cater to the bass fisherman and have many vacation packages to choose from when planning your Mexico bass fishing trips. Lake Baccarac is the furthest of them all and the roads are usually in disrepair, but you can still get there. It’s far more secluded than most so you won’t have to deal with the tourist crowd like with the lakes.

There are a lot more bass fishing lakes in Mexico, but those three should get your started. The season runs from September to June. If you are short on time and or money El Salto and Lake Huites are close together on the west coast and a day trip can cost as little as five hundred dollars and as much as two thousand for several days of guided fishing trips.

Did you know that you can now go peacock bass fishing in Mexico? In recent years the government of Mexico and the United States have transplanted these vicious but fun bass so you don’t have to travel to Brazil or the Amazon to enjoy fighting one of these bullies out of the water. They are known for wrecking rods and reels just from the fight they put up. So be sure and bring out the heavy-duty gear when go fishing for the nasty little predators.

When booking your day trips make sure and ask what you need to bring with you. Amenities always vary from each guided tour. To save money, ask the fishing guide company about all-inclusive packages that provide transportation, lodging, and of course the day trips. You will probably save quite a bit of money by handling your fishing vacation in this manner.

Bring plenty of extra memory cards for your digital camera. You will want to capture every memory you can while in Mexico, plus you need proof of all the double-digit bass you caught while on your fishing trip.

Bass fishing trips offer you the opportunity of catching those monster bass that every angler dreams of. Whether you are a novice angler or a more experienced angler, diversifying the places where you fish for Bass will increase your chances dramatically of catching those trophy fish. So, where do you start? The first place to start is by choosing a location. You want to fish in a place where you are guaranteed to catch some bass. In the US, the West Coast is by far the best place to fish the bass. Alabama, is one of the best areas in the nation, here you will find species such as the smallmouth, the largemouth, the spotted bass, and the redeye bass. Some of the lakes in Alabama, such as Mountain view Lake, have in the past provided record-breaking catches.

For a really good Bass the experience you should try and head down to Mexico and fish for the Peacock Bass. The peacock bass provides some of the most to ferocious fishing that you can get. Peacock Bass Fishing trips are organised throughout the US. Indeed, there are associations that you can join whose aim is to specifically promote the fishing of Peacock Bass. Much of the time, as will see later, Peacock Bass anglers head down to Mexico in order to find the really big fish. But there are plenty of areas in the US where you can fish for this tough freshwater species. One of those areas is Florida.

Mexico bass fishing trips are a great way for the modern-day anglers to almost guarantee huge quantities of fish are to be caught every day. The Amazon River, flowing through Mexico, offers some of the best angling for this “freshwater bully”. If you are heading down south, there are certain items that you should take. A good supply of tropical clothing because the weather down there can become extremely humid. Your tackle bag should reflect the fish that you are going for. The Peacock Bass is renowned for its ability to damage or destroy fishing tackle, so be prepared to take with you the correct type of laws, the correct type of line, and most importantly two or three strong Fishing rods. You should also consider guided Bass Fishing trips whilst in Mexico, not only will this save you from fishing in unproductive areas, the gates can also arrange or at least help you to arrange decent accommodation and car rental.

As a recreational sport, fishing offers excitement and fun, and there is no doubt that bass fishing offers the most fun and excitement. By taking the odd bass fishing trip, you are not only going to increase your skill and perfect your techniques, you will be embarking on some of the most exciting times of your life. The feeling of hunting along the riverbank for the perfect spot, of trying to keep this quiet as possible whilst casting skillfully for the best placement, and then finally reeling in that 15 pound monster, will stay with you for the rest of your days.

One of the best fishing trips and you can go on are peacock bass fishing trips. The peacock bass, which is the common name for a fish in the category of Cichla, is indigenous to the Amazon River of South America. It is one of the most ferocious fighters that you will ever come across. They have been called “fresh water bullies” because of their aggressive hunting nature. You must be very careful when you are fishing for these peacock bass because they can damage or destroy your gear when they strike. Some of the best techniques for getting them are much the same as those for the largemouth bass excepting that the peacock bass will not go for the usual artificial worms.

One of the best places to catch your peacock bass, and many other fabulous fish, is in Mexico. Not only can you fish in the Amazon River, when you go on Mexico Bass fish and trips you can also fish on the many lakes that are available throughout the country. Some of these lakes are stocked with some huge fish, indeed you can catch trophy fish that are well over 10 pounds in weight.

Mexico is a foreign country, and is always wise when you are fishing in a foreign country to have some local expertise. Not only would this enable you to find the best fishing spots, it will also enable you to find the best hotels, car hire, local attractions, etc. Mainly though, you are going to be after the fish. You will find many guided bass fishing trips by searching thoroughly on the Internet. Make sure that when you are making the decision about which offer to take up, that’s you have researched the company involved and made your decision based on as many reviews as possible, word-of-mouth reviews by anglers that have already been there are the best reviews of all.

Taking a fishing trip with your family is an incredible way to close the gaps between the generations, as well as a time for everyone to learn from each other. Fishing is a wonderful past time that has often been passed down from generation to generation, and even if the people in your family aren’t anglers, I am sure that they can find some enjoyment just getting out on the water for the day. The memories that you are going to be building are unforgettable and you will often find your family talking about them for years to come. There are plenty of places to visit on your fishing trips, so finding the right spot isn’t going to be too complicated, even if you have extremely picky people in your family.

It is a known fact that as your children grow up and start to leave the nest, you don’t get to spend near as much time with them as you would like. Taking a fishing trip with them will help you to close the gaps between you, and start to make some connections that have been growing stagnant for so long. This really is a great way to rekindle the spunk in your family. You can pack up the entire crew as well, from great grandchildren, grand children, your own kids, your generation of brothers and sisters, your parents, and even their parents out for a fishing trip that would be sure to stick with each and every member who attended.

The memories that you create on your fishing trip will come up in conversations years from now, but a few other things that are going to come up, especially if you visit the more exotic fishing destinations are simply the countries that you are going to. For example, a Canadian fishing trip or a deep sea fishing trip off of the coast of South America is simply breath taking, and doesn’t really cost you as much as you would imagine. Loading up the entire family does cost a bit more than taking you, and your children but in the long run the vacation is up to you, these are simply examples. You could even take a fly fishing trip to Costa Rica, or Florida to catch some monster trophies and see the exotic lush landscape while you are visiting. These places are perfect for tourism.

As you can see, if you had been planning a bass fishing trip, and thought about taking a relative or two with you, it is a very wise decision to do so. Having family members with you is a great way to help bring each other closer together, as well as learning from one another while you’re fishing. Not just about angling either, but you are going to teach each other a lot about life in general.
