Night Fishing
Virtually all of my Zandering for the first half of the season is carried out at night as its a very successfull way of fishing for these low light specialists, I've landed my 3 biggest fish between dusk and dawn as well as plenty of smaller ones.
I normally plan to arrive on the bank an hour or so before darkness falls to watch for any surface activity and to choose my swim for the night. As the light goes the rods are quickly cast to the most productive areas of the swim and clipped up to my drop-off alarms which will wake me should i dose off ! Next task is to set up the bivvy and make sure everything is neat and tidy so im not tripping over things in the middle of the night. It's important to set up the unhooking equipment ie landing net, forceps, scales and camera leaving everything handy should it be needed so the fish spends as little time on the bank as is neccessary.
Spraying Your Net Handle Whit Will Help Locate when Darkness has fell.
