The problem is, not all guides are made the same. Some prey on people that have never gotten a guide before, and will take your money from you, without being able to find the fish. They will usually blame it on things like the conditions, wrong baits, etc. Whatever the true reason is, they just in reality aren't bass fishing guides. They are wannabe anglers.

If you are looking for a largemouth bass fishing guide, make sure that you choose a lake or river system that is known for having not only quality fish, but also a quantity. This is going to make your guides job a lot easier, if the fish are already there, he just has to use his experience to help you catch them. Largemouth bass fishing guides typically use large wild shiners for bait, and these are considered to be one of the top largemouth baits of all time. Lunkers love nothing more than to chow down on a fat shiner. If you are wanting to fish with artificial lures, make sure that your guide knows this in advance.

Getting a smallmouth bass fishing guide can make for a fun day of fishing. These aggressive animals love chartreuse colors, and crawdads for live bait. If you haven't fought a smallie lately, you are seriously missing out. You must know ahead of time, that these fish aren't typically found in the south. In order to find a smallmouth bass fishing guide, you are going to have to be north of at least Virginia. They like cooler temperatures, and it is just too warm in the south for their blood. When your guide puts you on a stack of these fish, you will be ripping lips all day. Smallmouth love to congregate in schools over deep water.

Finding a striped bass fishing guide isn't always the easiest. This species can be a little particular to target, and usually like moving water in order to become active, and start feeding good. This isn't saying that they won't aggressively take a bait, but you have to know ahead of time, that if you are wanting to have a chance at catching some stripers, you are going to need to find some running water. The best places I have found are deep man made reservoirs, that usually have an electricity generating dam at the end of it. When the operators start generating, you need to be fishing inside of the moving water at the bottom of the dam.

Finding the right bass fishing guide service doesn't have to be a tough ordeal. Most of the guides you are going to contact are legitimate, and will be able to put you on fish. Don't be afraid to ask them a few questions, to determine exactly how reliable they are going to be. You don't want to be dropping money on a bass fishing guide, if they aren't going to supply you with fish. This is after all why you are getting a guide in the first place, right? Good luck to you, tight lines!

You may be tired of going to the lake every weekend and catching large mouth bass, and want a change. Well river fishing will certainly give you a whole new perspective on this outdoor sport. River fishing trips are very popular today and some of those hot spots are located in Alaska, and Colorado. Fishing rivers with fly-fishing gear is one of the most exciting and Zen like activities you can participate in today. The rush of catching luring, struggling, and netting your first King Salmon, or hooking a big fat rainbow trout in Colorado is second to none.

Kenai river fishing will not disappoint the beginning angler or the seasoned fly fishermen. No matter the fishing gear you want to use there is a bounty of great fish to catch on this river set in the most beautiful landscape in the world. Your choices for what type of fish you want to catch vary from five types of salmon, dolly varden, rainbow trout, black bass, artic and char. There are other species but these seem to be the most popular to catch in American river fishing Mecca. There is more than one place to go salmon river fishing and, that is the Copper River, which is known for it’s summer time insurgence of Sockeye and King Salmon.

To leave out what Colorado River fishing offers would be a sin. This state also offers majestic scenery while you while away the day fishing this grand old river that has paved it’s way through the Grand Canyon. There are several guided fishing tours that you can book while on your vacation here. Be sure and get your state fishing license while you are at the local tackle shop and pick up some local fishing tips while you are there as well. This river offers some of the best trout fishing this country has to offer.

No matter what state you choose to go river fishing in, be sure and educate yourself on the laws concerning the area you will be fishing. In Colorado there are many species of fish are designated catch and release only. A big fine from the Parks and Game commission could put a big damper on your spirits and outdoor fun.

Speaking of the Colorado River and if you have your family with you on your fishing trip. You may want to make an excursion before you leave and head over to Arizona to ride the white water rapids through the Grand Canyon. It will be something that everyone in your family will remember for the rest of their lives.

Most of the time, the most experienced fishermen prefer to use artificial lures in order to catch their Bass. There is such a wide variety of lures available, they come in all different shapes and sizes, colors and patterns. The basis behind Bass fishing lures, and indeed fishing lures for catching other breeds of fish, is that the lure will imitate the natural prey of the Bass. One point to make here, catching bass is not just about using the correct bass fishing lure, you also have to have good technique, without this you are wasting your time. Presentation and location are everything.

Bass Fishing lures are generally classified by the depth that they are used. For instance, lures that work best on top of the water include hair bugs and surface bugs. For top water, the best bass fishing lures are poppers and chuggers. These are used by working the lure across the top of the water, normally in shallow waters, where the Bass will attack with speed and sudden violence. Mid water lures are designed for suspended Bass. These mid water lures include spinner bates, spoons, and minnow plugs. Spoons at the most versatile of all the lures because they can be used at almost any depth and any retrieval speed. One of my favorites is the crank bait lure. You will probably catch more fish with this lure than any other.

One of the most popular fish to catch these days is the largemouth bass and a good supply of largemouth bass fishing lures will help you to increase your catch rate. Two of the best lures for this fish are buzz baits, surface plugs, and poppers for top fishing… that is fishing in water that is less than 5 feet in depth, around brush or weed beds. Largemouth bass will come out of nowhere to attack these lures, especially the buzz baits, which makes them great fun to use. The most productive of the crank baits is one called the rebel crawfish. You should bring plenty of these with you because they will get the job done. Jigging spoons, used primarily for bottom fishing, can also be dressed with some form of bait ... a worm, some crab meat, a bit of pork etc. The technique here is to just barely bounce it along the bottom as you retrieve. Whatever lure you choose, keep your technique strong and you will catch plenty of bass.

You will be spoilt for choice when you visit your local Fishing store trying to choose which Bass Fishing lures you are going to buy. The selection in most of these stores can be overwhelming to the uninitiated. They come in every color, shape, and variation. Each water condition has its own specific type of lure, including lures for murky water or clearwater, and others for post-spawn or pre-spawn. You could spend hours trying to decide which bass fishing lure is going to be correct for your particular trip, and even more time can be wasted by the side of the river bank or in the "hired by the hour" boat, floating in the middle of a lake, trying to figure out which of the many purchases is going to be the best.

You need a bit of inside knowledge, the low-down on which fishing lures for bass are the real favourites for experienced bass fishermen. First of all, you need to know a little bit about what makes the bass tick. He is a voracious feeder, eating anything that moves so long as he can fit it into his big mouth. It is with this in mind that your choice of lures will be made.

So, what is the best bass fishing lure? The first one I would recommend is a crankbait lure called a rattletrap lure. This lure, like all crankbaits, mimics the action of a small fish as it swims. It gets its name from the rattling noise it makes as it is quickly retrieved. It was invented in the 1960’s. It is one of the most widely used and most popular hardbait. Another is the spinnerbait which is a very versatile lure. It consists of metal blades which are shaped in such a way that they spin like a propeller as the lure is drawn through the water. It actually mimics a small fish, creating sparkles and vibrations as it is quickly drawn in.

The largemouth bass is probably one of the preferred fish to catch. This is because of its general large size and acrobatic fight that this fish will put on to try and escape the hook. Largemouth bass fishing lures come in a wide variety of types, colors, patterns, and sizes. If you are fishing mid water you will need something like a spinner bait, a crank bait, or a minnow bait. Sometimes wet flies are used for great results.

Bass fishing tips, like tips for catching other freshwater fish, are all going to depend implementing them correctly, having the correct fishing gear, and using your intelligence to outwit the fish. Bass are found in almost every part of the country. They have found their way into new ponds and reservoirs and millions of anglers have found the fish close to their own doorstep.

Any bass the tips and techniques are going to have to be built around the challenge that this fish offers. And at the end of the line, the bass is a pure fighter. Most the time he will eat anything that moves so long as it is big enough to fit into his mouth, he will strike a lure from meanness, and he will test the skill of the best fisherman. All you have to do is follow a few tips on bass fishing and you will have great success.

Over the years, many seasoned anglers who have regularly fished for bass have put together, from their collective experience, bass fishing tips which add fish to their nets day after day. The first thing that you should take into account is the time of day that you are fishing. You will always be fishing in shallower waters during the spring and fall than you would during the mid-summer months. Casting around the ponds and lakes in early spring is where you will find big fish because they always nest around the edges. Be careful that you have the correct license to fish at the right time of year for your part of the country.

They say that the smallmouth bass is no gentleman, but it is pound for pound one of the best fighters that you will ever come across. Some of the most helpful smallmouth bass fishing tips will help you to increase the amount of that you will catch. The fishing techniques that you should use with the smallmouth bass are much the same as those you would use to fish for trout. In a lot of instances, you will find that these two fish often swim in the same waters. You will find that some largemouth bass fishing tips are similar in nature to catching the smallmouth such as throwing spinners and spoons from the riverbank, as well as using certain plugs. There are several smallmouth bass fishing lures that will almost have the fish jumping onto your line.
